Sunday-Skate-Swing-Session
I'm not the right person when it comes to following rules, I do tend to cross them or pay no attention at all. Always pushing further then I ought to. In the end I only have myself to blame and that's the good thing about it hahaha.
So today I did the Sunday-Skate-Swing-Session according to some ground rules of sports (there was an article on Quadsk8's blog about recoverymethodes and the best way of training). Slept in a little so I have had enough sleep, drank some juice and went out at 10.30 to do some warming-up on skates. For me the best warming up for my legs is to skate the streets and so I did. Went along the riverside and took a small break in the sun staring at the boats go by. Then I skated some more and went straight to one of the best lunchrooms near my house. Took some fresh orangejuice and a sandwich with smoked chicken, avacado and salad. Afterwards I went home, took a quick shower and a rest to let the food digest. At 2.10 pm I went to the skate swing and found out I was the only one present, so I did some more practice, warming-up, not too difficult, just get in the flow. By the time it was 3.30 everybody was there and I was allready jammin' away. At 6 I got really tired, my legs felt heavy and my butt screamed muscle ache. Now at that point the 'rule' says: just push a little bit further, just a little over the edge. Did that too, just went on for half an hour longer, not the real heavy and difficult stuff, but just that little bit extra. Skating home real slow was my cooling down.
I'm at home now, took off my skates and looked in my fridge; cabbage, peaches, patatosalad and vitaminedrink. Hmm, think that will work out just fine for my eveningdinner today. Also got some real muscle aches. For one I did not skate that intensively the last couple of days, so that could be the reason, but I also feel like I did a perfect training today. Tomorrow I need to take some rest, do some sporting to keep the muscles flexible (not necessarily skating) and stay away from that edge of overdoing it. Now there comes the problem :-) Try NOT to put on my skates and go crossing borders again.
Well...we'll see what happens and how I feel tomorrow.... In some cases I'm the right person to follow THIS kinda theory!!
Gonna make me my dinner. Bye!
